Awards season is in full swing, but it’s been pretty subdued, to say the least. The Golden Globes did not make me bat an eyelash and dare I say no one really stood out with their fashion at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards, even though they tried to pull off metallics, prints and some bold color (although that was pretty nonexistent, too.)
2023 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet Fashion
Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton seemed to dominate among the stars on the red carpet. And then there are the newest red carpet trends that I saw at the Golden Globes now seen here. There’s the colorful statement sleeves around the black column gown that I saw on Michelle Yeoh. And the three-tiered column gown on Angela Bassett looked chic – it was lovely on Michelle Yeoh at the Golden Globes, too.
May I ask why Jennifer Coolidge is still wearing black? She deserves to dominate in as much color as her personality…

Let’s take a look at some of the fashion from the 2023 Critics Choice Awards.
Red Carpet Fashion

Haute couture is never all it seems. Amanda Seyfried revealed that her beautiful tarnished gold metallic number by Christian Dior kept “ripping and actually breaking” on the red carpet. “I’m just going to take off my dress,” she joked later. Well, it looked nice while it lasted.

More crinkled metallics. Sheryl Lee Ralph’s Critics Choice Awards dress was really a step up from her Golden Globes look.

Back in Black At The 2023 Critics Choice Awards
I’m tired of black on the red carpet, but for the most part, the fashionistas that wore black had some of the most refreshing looks.

Subdued But Striking Silhouettes

I can’t wait to see what the next awards show red carpet brings. How about you?
