On a recent trip to Naples, Florida, I spotted a summer travel outfit at the airport that immediately caught my eye. The woman wearing it (our age—over 50!) looked effortlessly chic. Her outfit stood out in a sea of black and grey athleisure, yet it was just as practical for travel.
She wore a long-sleeve white peasant blouse tucked into cropped white jeans, cinched with a neutral belt. The finishing touch? A structured, box-style wicker handbag that practically screamed vacation. And instead of sandals or flats, she wore runner-style sneakers. Surprisingly, they worked beautifully with the rest of her look—and more importantly, looked so comfortable. She could have sprinted to her gate if she had to!
The outfit was nothing over-the-top, but the way it was put together made it sing. The elements were simple, wearable, and easy to find.
