Christmas Mice Candy
These edible chocolate cherry Christmas mice are a fun project for the kids to help with when they’re out of school on vacation. The candy mice get their bodies from a chocolate dipped cherry, with a Hershey’s Kiss face and little peanut ears. Simply add a red hot candy for the nose and black icing eyes and you have a plate full of adorable little candy mice your children will be begging to make and eat. Why not make an assembly line and ask the kids to help make these cute little critters?
Tips for Making Hershey’s Kisses Chocolate Cherry Mice
- You need Maraschino Cherries with stems. The stems make the mice tails. So keep looking until you find them.
- Do you know someone with a peanut allergy? You can easily adjust the recipe and swap out the peanut ears with sliced almonds or even mini marshmallows.
- If you don’t have time to wait for the chocolate to harden, simply place them on some wax paper and freeze them for 10 minutes.

Those are so cute and fun! Thanks for posting.
So cute! I printed this out to make with my pre-k kids in school in December!
Thanks for the detailed instructions!
What a great idea! Let me know what they thought! How cute.
I made these and they are totally adorable. The only issue I had was trying to find the red hots. They weren’t anywhere to be found. So, I used edible pearls instead. Also, when transferring them into a container, I needed to wait until the shine of the chocolate covered cherries were matted. Thanks for sharing this cute and easy recipe!
