Pretty in Pastel Pink: The Spring Trend Women Over 50 Will Love

Pastel pink is often considered “a nice color” for an “older woman” to wear. Why? It’s softer than dark colors and casts a subtle glow against our skin, which tends to need a little boost as we age. It’s like brushing a bit of blush onto your cheeks (which, by the way, is also a great idea). But, that description makes it sound old-lady-ish, right? And that’s exactly why it can make us resist wearing it.

Pretty Pastel Pink for Spring 2025

However, this season, pastel pinks are absolutely gorgeous, and women of all ages, including myself, will want to wear this color. That’s why we’ve chosen it as one of our top 9 Spring 2025 trends for women over 50. Pastel pink is luscious, cotton candy-like, and oh-so-pretty! And since it’s flattering to wear, bring it on!

The fashion on the runways for Spring 2025 was filled with pastel pinks. This season’s pink has violet undertones and is a little less warm and blushy. Pastel colors in general are a huge trend for Spring/Summer 2025, but pink is perhaps the easiest to wear.

Wear Pink In Place of White

First, swap out any of your white fashion pieces for pastel pink. Instead of a white shirt under your blazer or with blue jeans, try a pastel pink one.

Pastel Pink: A New Neutral

Or wear pink in unexpected ways. Replace a neutral pair of khaki pants or a skirt with pastel pink. It’s an easy way to brighten up your entire look, and you’ll find it surprisingly neutral. Pastel pink works with almost any solid color in your wardrobe (think neutrals like white, black, navy, brown, and beige, or bright shades like cobalt blue, green, or aqua). A pastel pink bottom will likely pair perfectly with a floral blouse you already have in your closet.

Head-To-Toe Pastel Pink

Wear allover pastel pink. Try a dress, jumpsuit, or pantsuit in pastel pink for your next big event this spring or summer. You’ll stand out, but in a more subtle way than with a bright color.

Pastel Pink Accessories

And of course, if you just want to dip your toe into the trend, you can wear a pastel pink shoe (pun intended) or another accessory, such as a handbag or scarf.

Shop Shoes, Bags and Accessories

On top of all this, pastel pink is a flattering color against your skin tone, no matter if you’re young or old!

Do you like pastel pink, or do you find it too “girly” or “old lady”? Will you be rocking this color trend this season?
