Thank God it all comes back to the block heel. Roger Vivier can be credited with this shoe silhouette which was considered very new and different 1965, when it came down the Yves Saint Laurent runway. Actually that one had a square toe and looked more like a Pilgrim shoe with it’s large metal buckle. In fact the same shoes has been brought back this season, I digress. I just love my fashion history.

The 90s are back in fashion! But what exactly were the trends of the 90s? Perhaps that era is a bit of a blur because a great deal of minimalism (and grunge-yuck) came into play and some of the same pieces have probably kept a place in your fashion wardrobe to this day.
I love stripes, I really do and while I am thrilled they are once again back on trend for spring, I am intrepid. Why? Well most stripes just are not that flattering. I always love a menswear inspired or boyfriend blue and white stripped shirt, but that’s because the lines are usually vertical.
